So I have been quite busy the last few days, well, keeping busy rather. Couple friends from out of town are here so we’ve been hanging out. Christmas was good, I suprisingly recieved a lot of money from relatives which was oh so nice of them. So I plan on buying some new speakers and lens for my camera, Always nice. I thought I got my friends and family some pretty neat things, I really tried to aim for things that they could either definitely use or need. I think it was a great success :)

So anyway, I wanted to ask everyone how they think I should post my photos, I use flickr to upload, I have unlimited space on there, and I think it would be a great way to store my photos in general so I don’t have to store them on my computer, but then that is like 5mb a photo, and well, thats alot photos, and alot of space. The other option is to resize and post my photos, which is quicker to upload, I can choose sizes, but I won’t be able to store all of my photos. Maybe I can do both? What does everyone think?

So today is saturday, my main computer still is not up, me and Yama think it’s the power supply, We testest it and it’s working, but still won’t power up the motherboard, everything is really acting strange, so we are going to test it with his power supply soon. I just can’t wait to have my computer up and running again, it will be good times. Anyway my little cousins are over and I need to watch them for a little bit.

Wow, I have been nothing but tired these last few days. I arrived back here in california late at night on the 23rd. Woke up the next morning, and had a bunch of stuff to do. Anyway, New York was fantastic. I think some of the highlights were The Statue of Liberty, Rockafeller Center, Little Italy, The Village, All the many H&M’s, Lambardi’s Pizza, Uncle Sams, The Apple Store, Nintendo World, and I am sure more that I am just forgetting. So just make sure if you decide to go any time soon, that you visit those places. Oh, that and stay at the Mariott Marqiues in Times Square.

So now for a little segment I like to call..
“Things you don’t see anywhere else but NYC!”

  • People asking you if you would like to buy a watch of handbag wherever you go (although it’s not as bad as it was a couple years ago).
  • Asains in Chinatown saying to you “handbag, Luis Vutton, Coach, Coach, Coach..”, “fo you today, I make special price”
  • Rental RV’s speeding around Manhattan with banners and on loudspeaker blasting hebrew music. All complete with a menorah on top
  • People constantly trying to hand you flyers
  • People constantly asking you if you like stand up comedy
  • Old men throwing pennies at you
    • One of the funniest encounters was the last day I was in New York. I bassed by a very old man on the sidewalk, he didn’t look poor, and I am still not sure if he was. But I passed by and it seemed as if he was juggling pennies in his hand, I mean, just for the enjoyment of it. So I passed by not making anything of it, until I heard some change drop, so, like the person I am I turned around, walked back to him and said “Did you drop something?”, He didn’t answer, but sounded like he mumbled something and then put his hand out to me. I said “ohhh, you need.. here, I then took some change out of my pocket and placed it in his hand. He then looked at me and said “ahh here take it, take it all, I don’t want it, It’s bad luck”. I questioned him and said “what?”, I kid you not, he then started throwing the pennys at me, a few at a time, just letting them scatter all over the ground. I don’t know what that guy was thinking but I just walked away. Maybe someone else knows about this and what he was doing. But my mom thinks the guy was just putting me on or something of the sort.

So anyway, Don’t let these little things bother you or take your desire away from going to the city. You are enjoying yourself so much when you are there, these things don’t even bother you or take away from the fantastic experience :) I will be uploading photos to my Flickr account hopefully today. We’ll see how much I have. Stay tuned, keep commenting, and Merry Christmas!

I wan’t to start off with that I am sorry that I can’t upload all the photos I’ve taken because of the limited connection that I have here. I am going to try to get a couple of these resized to quickly to post. Well today we decided to wake up super early and visit The Statue Of Liberty. I’ve gotta tell you, there is some amazing history behind that woman made of copper, and if you have not visited our Lady Liberty, I highly suggest to you to read up on her on the net, about the artist, the stories, the people behind it, the history of the torch. It really is amazing. After that we headed over to the Bodies Exhibit which was, well.. interesting? educational? a little weird?.. eh, everything was real, but you don’t make much of it when you are there. I think my favorite part was the blood viens throughout our bodies which they had on display, amazing that they were able to get it, but mostly amazing how many viens are throughout our bodies.. so freaking many. Anyway, it was fantastic exhibit, and I do suggest it to anyone wanting to know more about what our insides look like.

So we decided to visit China Town, where my sister had her accessory shopping spree, and I tagged along and enjoyed the interesting smell, middle aged asain men and women constantly asking us “coach, coach, handbag, prada, handbags, purse, purse?”.. But in the long run, it was enjoyable, China town is good stuff. From there we headed over to Little Italy for some Italian food at “La Nonna’s”, which we had visited last year as well, along with this Italian bakery I always forget the name of. We ended the night in the Village where we got lost, well, not lost, just lost trying to find the area where we went last year. I will end up looking online for that area probably later tonight. So we hopped on the subway and went back to the hotel.

Anyway, It’s late and I need to get up early tomorrow.

Well tonight was fantastic, we went and saw The Producers on broadway. Absolutely fantastic, cast included Tony Danza and Roger Bart who both did fantastic. I think I liked roger more in the movie though as his gay character, maybe because it was a funnier character.. but then again now he has a lead role as Bloom on broadway which is a larger deal and either way, it just shows that Roger has wide range of characters he can do and he just does a great job hands down. Anyway, we also took a carrage ride through central park which very enjoyable, sad that we don’t have enough time to stroll through during the day, but thats okay, appearantly it’s more fun to do during the spring-summer anyway so tomorrow we are go. Well I better get to bed, I’m sorry I didn’t have any time to upload photos, hopefully tomorrow. Also tomorrow we are visiting The Statue Of Liberty and the Bodies Expo, then off to lower Manhattan! Hope all is well everyone, until tomorrow.. good fight, good night ;)

Yeah right, well anyway, I am connected to the net through my cell phone, tethering with verizon as its called. Anyway, So sorry I haven’t been up to date with blogging the last couple of days, we have been running all over town. Let me explain, so we arrived from JFK Sunday in the afternoon, from there we arrived at the Sharaton Hotel to where my mom figured out that she actually booked the wrong hotel, turns out the rooms in the Sharaton are all the same size, and very small at that. What my mom thought was the Marriott Marquis with a mini suite room, turned out to be a cracker jack box at the Sharaton. Anyway, with my mothers smooth talking, we canceled our stay after the 1st night stay at the Sharaton, booked a room at the Marriott, and took a cab with our luggage down 5 blocks. So here we are at the Marquis and very much enjoying it. It is an absolutely beautiful hotel, our room is a  pretty darn good size I would say, Like I said before, like a mini suite minus the kitchen. We also have an excellent view of times square. I will do everything I can do to post some photos tomorrow, I still have to buy a flickr pro account to help with that, I might even hit up the apple store to upload the photos.. This internet speed on my cell is a little slower than dsl, but still, its eh, I mean, it gets around 50kbps, but I don’t know how well it will do on uploading photos. But anyway, back to whats been going down. We saw Les Miz tonight, quite a show, a little depressing, but an amazing show none the less, It’s just one of those musicals that you have to see. Yesterday we went to Rockafeller Plaza, The Nintendo World Store (amazing), H&M, and the new Manhattan Apple Store. Today we went to Macy’s here (huge), H&M (again, but a differen’t store), Passed by the Empire State Building, A couple shoe stores, and ended up eating dinner at some little pizza joint that didn’t turn out to be too good, well, compared to alot of the other pizza places here. Anyway, so H&M, found some very nice stuff, and there is 8 stores in Manhattan alone! Ridiculous ;) Anyway, so what else.. Oh today they put the first beam in for the new freedom tower that is actually due to be finished in 5 Years from today!.. for being the tallest building in the world, I figure thats amazingly fast, and I think it’s fantastic, more power to us. Also might I add, concidering how long buildings used to take to build, Mankind has come pretty far.

Anyway, I better get to sleep, but I just wanted to finish off saying that also when we arrived, It turned out that it was colder in Long Beach/Orange County then it is/was here in New York. Pretty weird stuff. Well then, keep checking for updates and those photos, everyone have a goodnight! :)

Anyway turns out I cannot connet to their wireless net for some odd reason, so I am connected through my cell phone, not too bad of a conection, 14.4k.. anyway, I suppose my next post will be from the hotel or some other hot spot. I’ll keep ya updated, we’ll arrive at JFK Airport at 5:00pm. Anyway here are some photos for your enjoyment..

Tonight is the night!

December 15th, 2006 | Filed in: Blog | Share: Twitter / Facebook | No Comments »

Had a Christmas get together with my family tonight, at least the half of family we are touch with, It was really nice and quite enjoyable. For the first time in our new house, we got to entertain and have alot of guests over and it really did turn out well. Sadly I did not take any photos, I don’t know why but it might have been because I was so cought up in talking tech with my two uncles, which I enjoyed none the less.

The office Christmas special was on tonight! If you have not seen it, watch it at peekvid.com. It was an hour special and it seems like the newcomers from the merge are doing well, the characters are starting to fit in at Scranton more and more every episode, and it just keeps getting better and better :)

Where is stevo.org! yes, I am asking myself that question. Well I suppose I have got to get it up by saturday, that means I need to work on it tonight and tomorrow (It’s 1:30 am on Friday), That means I just might do a rush job on things and tidy it up in the middle of the night at the hotel in New York.

Well this week has been somewhat eventful I would say, I had work, hadn’t done that in a while I would say. I went on my first audition as well, not just any audition, my first audition while being signed with an agent. It’s good news, good stuff, they had me read one line three times, I think they are going to cast upon the look they want and possibly voice, a five letter sentence just doesn’t seem like its going to make a a large difference for this one. Anyway, if they like me and I get booked, I’ll post about it. Besides that, IF I get booked, it shoots on Monday and Tuesday, that means I have to change my flight schedule to NYC to leave on Tues night and then meet with my family there a couple days late, time will only tell. Frankly, and sadly in a way, I am not worrying about it, If I get it, great! I’ll do my first commercial, If not, well, hey, I get to spend more time in NYC with my family :)
